Model Measurements Explained: How to Measure Yourself
A simple guide to taking accurate height, chest/bust, waist, hips, shoe and clothing measurements for your model profile.

Accurate measurements help agencies, stylists and clients understand fit before a booking. They should describe your current body, not the number you think someone wants to see.
Use a flexible tape
Measure over light clothing or appropriate close-fitting garments. Keep the tape level and comfortably close without pulling it tight.
Height
Stand barefoot against a flat wall with a natural posture. Ask someone else to measure if possible.
Chest or bust
Measure around the fullest part while keeping the tape level around your back.
Waist
Measure your natural waist without sucking in or compressing the tape.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat with feet together.
Keep everything current
Recheck measurements periodically and before important fittings. Update your Models House profile whenever they change meaningfully.
