What to Wear to a Model Casting
Simple casting wardrobe guidance for new models: clean, fitted, neutral and appropriate to the brief.

Unless the casting brief asks for a specific look, your clothing should help the casting team see you rather than compete for attention.
Keep it simple
Clean, fitted basics in neutral colours are often useful because they show proportion and movement. Avoid oversized layers or highly distracting logos unless the brief requests them.
Choose practical footwear
Bring shoes appropriate to the casting. Runway applicants may be asked to walk in heels; commercial castings may require something entirely different. Read the instructions.
Grooming
Arrive clean and well presented. Keep makeup and hair relatively natural unless the brief specifies styling. Casting teams often want to understand your starting point.
Bring what was requested
If the casting asks for a comp card, ID, swimwear, sportswear or another item, prepare it in advance. Do not assume every casting follows the same rules.
